About me

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I am a junior in college studying microbiology (minoring in biology and chemistry). I greatly enjoy teaching and am particularly skilled in math, biology, chemistry, English, and Spanish. I want to help students excel in their studies by teaching material in a way that they can understand. I value students' true and full understanding of content, as it will benefit them in the future. My teaching experience consists of assisting a graduate student in teaching a 200-level microbiology lab at my college. I explain concepts, lab techniques, and experiments to students, and answer their questions both throughout the lab and outside of lab time. I find teaching very rewarding, and I enjoy connecting with the students while helping them understand the information. I have always excelled at school; I graduated high school with a GPA of 4.0, and I have a 3.9 in college and have made the Dean's list every semester. I hope to help current students excel and enjoy learning!
