ed-lesson orders

  • All new orders from learners can be found in your Dashboard > ed-lesson. You'll be also notified via email for these new orders. Other mentors can also book ed-lessons or ed-events for learning purposes.
  • Within the 'Dashboard > ed-lesson' section, you'll find seven tabs: Orders, Confirmed, Paid, Delivered, Completed, Declined and Rejected. These tabs help you manage your orders based on their status. To view the details of each order, simply click on 'View details.' It contains all the details about the order.
  • Here are the different order statuses and what they mean:
    • Ordered - Awaiting confirmation : These are newly received orders that require your confirmation before learners make payment. Please double-check your availability before confirming. If the ed-lesson is online, you'll need to create a video call session for the scheduled time and paste the link in the required field.
    • Confirmed - Awaiting payment : Once you confirm an order, the learner will receive a payment link. You also have the option to edit the video call links in this status.
    • Paid - Awaiting delivery : After learners have made their payment. Once the teaching session is complete, mentors should click the 'Delivered' button, which will be available in the 'View details' section. This button appears after the scheduled ed-lesson time has passed.
    • Delivered - Awaiting approval : In this stage, learners need to approve your delivery. They have 48 hours to do so; otherwise, it will be automatically approved.
    • Completed : After learners approve your delivery.
    • Declined : This status applies when mentors decline a newly received order or when learners cancel orders themselves. Orders not confirmed before the scheduled time will also be automatically marked as 'Declined.'
    • Rejected : After marking an order as 'Delivered' in step 2, if the learner chooses to reject it, the order will be relocated to the 'Rejected' tab with the status “Rejected-Awaiting delivery”. Within this tab, you can read the reject reason and you will have access to a 'Deliver' button under 'View details.' You will be given a 7-day window to contact the learner and attempt to mark the order as 'Delivered' again. Failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the order being permanently rejected, the status will also change to “Rejected” . Afterward, learners have the option to reach out to edsurfing support to report the issue. Frequent reports may lead to a ban for the mentor.
