Contacts & Social media

Members can add various contact details in their profile page in Contact & Social media section. This includes phone number, email, WhatsApp number and more. They can also link their profiles from platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and others. The information will be visible to all edsurfing members. This is based on our goal which is helping people to expand their network and find new connections and friends.

However, the visibility of contacts and social media are restricted and only unlocked under specific conditions:

  • Participation in ed-lessons or ed-events: If a user has participated in ed-lesson or ed-event organized by a mentor, they gain access to view the contacts and social media of that mentor. This feature encourages connections among those who have shared learning experiences.
  • Friendship : Users can view each other's contact and social media if they are friends on edsurfing. Building connections and networking with others is at the heart of our community, and this feature allows members to connect more deeply with their friends.
  • Premium users : Users with premium membership have access to view the contact and social media links of all other members.

By implementing these features, we aim to strike a balance between encouraging open networking and maintaining user privacy. It provides incentives for premium membership, ed-lesson or ed-event participation, and making connections with others to unlock additional profile information, making our platform a dynamic and valuable space for professional growth and expanding of personal network.
